As long as European settlement as existed, Australians have loved cricket. The first recorded cricket match was played here in 1854.
The Sydney Cricket Ground sports stadium is houses cricket matches such as the one day international and test cricket. On occasion it is also used for rugby union and AFL matches. The SCG seats 46,000 at capacity. There are regular tours of the SCG which allow you to see the players' dressing rooms, explore the members' areas, have a look at the walk of honour and even do a run down the tunnel onto the ground.
