Sydney Cafes

Sydney sightseeing

Sydney is filled with cafes in different corners of the city, and the whole concept of these small and intimate dining experiences is that Sydney has great weather, cultural diversity, and is filled with lovers of coffee. You can easily find yourself sitting in the sun, enjoying the view while treating yourself to a coffee or a casual meal, in one of Sydney’s cafes.
Sydney residents love going to a café early in the morning, to read the local paper. Later in the day they will meet with friends for coffee and a chat, and at night, many of the cafes convert into restaurants, serving a range of cultural cuisines.
If you are keen to soak up Sydney’s café culture, consider heading to some of the more popular café districts. Often you will have an extensive choice of cafes on offer, and choosing the best is simply done by taking a stroll through the area and selecting one that best suits your personal taste.
Newtown’s King Street is one of the more vibrant café locations and you can spend the whole day hopping between each one, and visiting the bookstores, antique stores and gift stores along the way. Nearby you’ll find the suburbs of Glebe and Leichardt where more cafes await.
Oxford Street is a long stretch and includes the suburbs of Darlinghurst and Paddington near the city. You can enjoy checking out the local cafes and trendy clothing stores, as you wander along the main street. The city too is also an area filled with cafes, hidden between the office buildings, and also in popular areas like Circular Quay and The Rocks.
