Sydney Ice Skating Rink and Arena can be found forty minutes from the CBD. It has an Olympic sized ice skating rink. Public sessions are held here and hire gear is available.
There are some great places to rollerblade or skate outdoors in Sydney. It’s a great way to see the city. There are facilities for skaters and rollerblades going over the Harbour Bridge and around Luna Park in the city.
Milsons Point is a good starting point for beginners or those who haven’t been on wheels for a while. Centennial Park in the Eastern suburbs is popular with skaters. Bondi Beach has some great pathways and ramps for more experienced skaters. The surface is not as smooth here and there are also a lot of skateboarders and BMX riders in the area.
There are some excellent tours which combine skating with site seeing in Sydney. There are several hire shops which lend out skates, skateboards and helmets.
Macquarie Ice Rink is located in the Macquarie Shopping Centre in Macquarie. Sydney Ice Arena is located just 5 minutes from the M2 Motorway and next door to Norwest Market town Shopping Centre.
