One of Sydney's iconic beaches, Palm Cove is located at the end of a peninsula which forms part of the northern beaches. Palm Beach is definitely a place to be seen, there are many hip cafes and boutique shops. Make sure to catch a glance of some of the palatial homes in the area.
Much of Palm Beach is quite exposed to the elements, so keep an eye out for rips. The extreme ends of the beach are slightly more protected. Stick to the southern end for swimming and the northern end for surfing, and of course, keep between the flags. The beach is patrolled on most summer days and there is also a fifty metre lap pool. The beach is around an hour's drive north of central Sydney, and there are buses which service the area. Address: Palm Beach, NSW, 2108 .
