North Sydney Markets

Sydney hotels

The North Sydney Markets cater to a more refined clientele, as they are located in the centre of North Sydney which during weekdays is a corporate hub. The nearby residential suburbs are highly exclusive, due to their magnificent harbour views, heritage listed architecture, and close proximity to Sydney's CBD.

The North Sydney Markets

So, if you are heading to the North Sydney Markets, expect quality products. The markets offer a high-quality selection of traditional and innovative arts and crafts. You can find lots of home wares, including antiques and plants. The fashion and clothing section is very mature and features some small and exclusive designers. If you are after a traditional treat from the kitchen, you can stock up on freshly baked cakes, preserves and other goodies. Live entertainment is also included, and brightens the entire experience.

The markets are open on the second Saturday of every month in Miller Street. A short bus ride from the city will get you there, and the North Sydney train station is close to their location. Take a walk through Greenwood Plaza, up to street level, and the main street and markets are found there. If you are considering making a day of it, and the weather is great, you'll enjoy a long but rewarding walk from the city along the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The North Sydney Markets

You will arrive on the other side at Milsons Point, which has some spectacular parks and a little shopping and café district itself. From here you can either continue your walk up to North Sydney, or catch a bus, taxi or train to the market area. Address: Miller Street, North Sydney, NSW, 2060.
