Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is the country's most prestigious dramatic arts school, which features courses in theatre, design, film and television. It is both a training and performance venue for the country's best students.
The institute expects extremely high standards, and some of the most notable actors and celebrities have passed through the school. They also offer short courses and opportunities for the public to learn about and participate in the dramatic arts.
NIDA's venue is striking, often lit with brilliantly coloured lights at night which make it hard to miss from Anzac Parade. The venue is multi-purpose and also allows for functions and special events that aren't directly related to theatrical performances.
All performances are of a highly professional standard, whether they are facilitated by students or external providers. Public car
spaces around NIDA can be found on the street; however the easiest method is to catch a bus along Anzac Parade towards Kingsford.
Address: 215 Anzac Parade Kensington, NSW, 2033.
