Glebe is an inner city suburb with restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops along Glebe Point Road. It offers a cheaper inner city area to stay, and is close to Sydney University is close by.
Glebe is a fantastic area to explore on foot, as it has many mansions and terrace houses. The suburb's overall feeling is very cosmopolitan. Dining in Glebe is easy as it has much choice and a varied range of restaurants. The Cat and Fiddle is well known for live music and the Friend in Hand Hotel is great for a drink.
Glebe also features the Sze Yup Temple, located in Edward Street, and the Broadway Shopping Centre, which was built on the landmark site of the former Grace Brothers department store. On Saturdays the Glebe markets come to life with many stalls. The area is not connected to the CityRail, so buses have to be used if you're going farther than your feet can take you.
