At Featherdale Wildlife Park you can experience some of Australia's most famous animals, including kangaroos, koalas, emus, wallabies, dingoes and Tasmanian devils. Featherdale Wildlife Park is located in metropolitan Sydney, but emulates the natural habitats of its animals while still being visitor friendly.
There is a large crocodile exhibit to check out and also a large koala colony where you can have a photo taken with a cuddly creature. You may even have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo, wallaby or emu. There are also 230 species of birds at the park, including some rare native species. An animal nursery allows children to pet and feed farm animals like sheep and chickens.
On site facilities include gift shop and café, picnic areas and BBQs. Located in Doonside, Featherdale Wildlife Park is a 45 minute trip out of Sydney. It's easily reachable by car and also serviced by local bus. Address: 217 Kildare Road, Doonside, NSW, 2767.
