Clark Island

Sydney sightseeing

Clark Island is located off Darling Point in the beautiful and majestic Sydney Harbour. This tiny island is only 0.9 hectares in size, yet this only increases its intrigue and quaintness. Clark Island is one of the few untouched islands in Sydney Harbour. There are trees and patches of bush land, a jetty for small ferries and boats, and picnic facilities for public use. There are no shops or tourist features of Clark Island, so if you are looking for a private and unique picnic location, without needing to leave Sydney's centre, you've found it at Clark Island.

Clark Island

The island is limited to 150 people at any one time, however you will rarely see this many people there. Most often, if you visit, you will be the only ones on there, and you'll need to remember that reservations are essential. You will need to arrange your own private transport to access the island, and the best method is to book the services of a water taxi which can take you to and from the island at any time you choose. Rose Bay is a great spot to leave from, or you can leave from another location, and arrange your own tour of Sydney Harbour that includes Clark Island.

Clark Island

Water taxis are usually very expensive, so be prepared to pay for the cost of this, however if you travel with a number of people it could be much cheaper, and the price would still be well worth it when compared with the cost of other unique excursions in the city of Sydney.Clarke Island is perfect for romantic picnics, simple but special celebrations, and it can also be hired out exclusively for weddings and other private events.
