Hyde Park is the CBD's central garden and a much loved city feature. Although it is surpassed in size and diversity by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Hyde Park's location makes it a haven for office workers who are desperate to escape the indoors and find a shady spot for lazing on the grass.
During the week, especially around lunchtime, you'll struggle to find a patch of vacant grass, as it's a favourite spot for local office workers. At nights, especially in summer, Hyde Park transforms with nightlife including markets, outdoor performances and art exhibitions displayed amongst the trees. Address:Elizabeth Street , Sydney CBD, NSW, 2000.
