Cooper Park

Sydney sightseeing

Cooper Park is a long-standing multipurpose recreation area in the eastern suburb of Bellevue Hill. You can walk to the park from the Bondi Junction train station, or catch a local bus. At Bondi Junction you can purchase food for a picnic at the park, or combine park activities with restaurant food and some shopping time.

Cooper Park

The park covers almost forty acres and includes natural bushland, walking tracks and the only creek to run through the eastern suburbs area. Australian indigenous rock engravings can be found in the park. Created by the Eora culture, these engravings are estimated to be 200,000 to 100,000 years old.

Along with its off-leash areas for local dogs, this park is also great for exercise and fitness. The sporting club here provides professional tennis courts, a cricket pitch, practise nets and sporting fields. Address: Bellevue Hill, NSW, 2023.
